The Peruvian town of Cuzco is the historic community in the Andes that
was once the capital of the Inca Empire. Many tourists to Cuzco enjoy visiting
the Inca baths (at nearby Tambomachay) as well as the semi-circular Kenko
Amphitheatre. Other Cuzco attractions are the Cuzco Cathedral and the Santo Domingo
Monastery.
A wonderful view of Cuzco Peru can be enjoyed from the Temple of Sacsayhuaman
which is perched on a hilltop overlooking the city. This fortress was built with
blocks that weigh as much as 350 tons.
