Lake Titicaca is the largest lake (by water volume) in South America.
It is situated high in the Peruvian Andes at an elevation of 3,812 meters
(12,507 feet). The city of Puno
is located on Lake Titicaca.
A number of Peruvians live on the Uros - a set of 43 man-made islands
that were built from floating reeds. These islands are a popular tourist
destination in Peru.
